Michael, who is a huge meme procrastinator tagged me with this very interesting meme called The face behind the blog.

“One picture is worth 10,000 words”.
- Chinese proverb

Putting a face to the name of someone you haven’t met helps recognition and adds a more personal feel to your conversations. I have always loved how Oso has all his links dressed with pictures of his “friends and enemies.” I hope I am counted as a friend, LOL.

Here’s the “rules.”

1. Post a short blog article that includes a photograph (or a series of photos) showing the face behind your blog. If you already show a photo somewhere on your site, then make your post more interesting by choosing a photo that’s not currently online.

2. Include links to other people who have displayed a photo.

I will put people here that have followed me to keep the chain going… so make sure to let me know so I can put your links here.

3. Link back to the original post.

4. Tag as many others as you like.

I will tag - Bea - Daniel - Barb - Kamylo - Mike.

So, here we go!

I will thumbnail the pictures here, but to see them on their full glory you have to be one of our friends in Flickr!

Us

This is Bea’s and I first NFL football game together. It was an awesome time full of Friends, Beers, Peanuts and just overall fun. This is my new favorite picture.

I'm Bad
This is a picture of me when I recently shaved all of my facial hair, I had been wearing a mustache and at time goatee for years. It was a nice change, it felt really good.

This weekend went by way too fast. It was full of wonderful event, but now I have to sit down and let it all kind of simmer.

I met my new nephew for the first time. It was a pretty special moment to hold that little life in my arms… I seriously never thought my little sister would be the one having two kids before me, but I think that it is wonderful. I also get to be a God Father!

I spent a lot of time with my family and even got to see some friends, even some that were visiting all the way from Colombia. We also signed up for a Gym today and are looking forward to some sweating in the coming months. Overall it is almost too much to recount with just words… but Bea always does a great job of telling the story via pictures. Lots more to see if you are actually one of our friends ;)

Shaved LogtarI have not shaved all my facial hair in quite some time. I have used a mustache pretty much since it started growing and shaving is not one of my favorite things to do. I have been using a little beard or a goatee for probably 5 years and just recently shaved it all off.

It was quite amazing to see the reaction of some of my friends that had to do double takes or said… did you just get a haircut… LOL leave it to guys to notice that something has changed but not know quite what it is.

Kid PictureOso put up one of the best meme`s in a while last week. Make sure you visit him and help propagate the idea. Please participate!

It was sometime between 1982 and 83. I was in first grade and was about to turn 5 years old. It is amazing that I still remember some things about back then, and actually remember when this picture was being taken. It was the first time I had seen a pen that would sit on a little block, later I would learn that quills were being held that way for a long time but now people would do this to pens… who knows if people do that with their pens in their offices anymore.

I started first grade when I was 4 years old thanks to living in a school. When my parents first were married they lived with my Grandparents. My Grandparents had a big enough house and it was quite common to do that in other countries, at least when couples are first starting out.

The elementary school that I ended up attending was an old house that was slowly turned into a school. When I lived there, the back wing of the house was still used as a rental place and that was my parent`s first place on their own. I would see the little kids go into kinder garden and I naturally gravitated that way. The teachers were nice enough not to mind me there and my Mom was very surprised when they asked her if I could start attending first grade the following year. My Mom did not want to pressure me into it, but said that I could go as long as there was no grades or any pressure put on me.

I started first grade and did quite well, after that I just continued going to school, and if it was not for many reasons that are another post all together I would have graduated from high school when I was 15. I ended up graduating high school here in the US when I was 18, but it all worked out the way it was supposed to. So, go dig up an old picture and post it on your blog!

Pr0n at WorkI have made some great friendships at some of my jobs. One of them is Matt, a guy from Korea that was a programmer with me at CPS. I have a lot of friends from that place, more than any other I worked at but I had a very close relationship with Matt. I was really into Korean culture back then and I had even started to learn some minor phrases. I had been practicing Tae Kwon Do for about a year when I started to work for the company and Matt opened up to me because I knew so much about his culture. He was a very quiet and reserved man that spent all of his free time with his family. We would go to lunch almost every day and talked about culture, life and of course work. He would bring me Korean food or treats… and one day gave me the coaster pictured here. He was a very good person to work with and even got me into playing go. I am not as good as him, but I do enjoy the game. I remember that during the world cup I got him the Korean national team jersey and he was very thankful for it. It feels good when people appreciate what you do for them.

I kept my coaster along with my desk toys until now. They have been moved from job to job. It was not until recently that I looked closely at the coaster… and what did I find pR0n!

It is not just your regular kind of pR0n, it looks like an ancient painting but there is definitely nipples there. The funnies part is that it was not until I showed a coworker here that he noticed some pervert looking at the girls in the background.

Logtar as Nacho Libre

Well might as well put to good use the mask that came with the DVD…

P.S. The movie is not a must buy, maybe a drunken rental…
