The one thing I've learned that is true from seeing Fireproof as well as going to some Marriage seminars is that there is no such thing as "being compatible" and that you have to make a decision to love someone. To quote Fireproof, "I decided to love her whether she deserves it or not". What a challenge that is! The other thing that stuck out to me was when he said, "when people take their vows for better or for worse, they really only mean for better". There are a lot of great lessons in that movie and it is pretty funny too. I highly recommend it!
