Working Up a Sweat

I have been confined to my house for the past 6 days. Today I am actually getting out to go to the doctor. This time it has taken a little longer to get to 100%. I am not hearing just yet, but I think it is a matter of time. I think the antibiotics this time are a little different and affecting me a lot more. Thank God I am done with those tomorrow.

I am getting very impatient to get back to 100% because I really want to start working out and just being overall more active than I used to be. I think that now that I have the chance to have good hearing again I should take that as a chance to get all of my body a little more miles. Being dizzy and inmobile has been no fun at all. I cannot wait to work up a sweat.

I also been thinking a lot about washing my car. It has been a while since I gave it some TLC. I enjoy washing my car and detailing the inside. It is one of those things that actually calms me down and gives me time to think. Do you have a manual activity that you really enjoy doing?

Yes I do but that would be too obvious.

On a cereal note my cathartic musings would be organizing Magic The Gathering Cards and/or my comic book collection. Something mundane but not too serious where it drives me nuts in a few minutes.

I’m sure your ear will heal quickly, use the power of positive thinking! Think you’ll be back at work this week? Miss ya homie.

Well you have been working out your mind anyway! Jeesh you got 5 levels on me while I wasn’t looking. I am sure you will get back to working the the muscles out soon enough.

Usually when I’m pissed off, or just need something to work on, I’ll do yard work or the dishes.

More often than not it’s the dishes since by the time I get home from work it’s too dark out to work in the yard.

Pretty much anything that is a mess beforehand, and that while I work on it I can see the progress. Keli teases me that doing the dishes puts me in my “Zen Place”.

How do you get back to 100% when you only started at like 73% to begin with?

Yes. I do. And I think we should probably leave it right there. Your wife reads this blog.

Killing dwarfs.

I really hate the little bastids…

Hang in there; you’ll be able to hear yourself sing gay anthems any day now!

Well, I think your blog is more PG than R, right? :)

Hope you’re feeling better soon — I’m sure you’re anxious to get back to normal.

I took up martial arts again. My daughter and I (she is 8), are taking Taekwondo (www.kattkd.com <– where I go). And we both enjoy it. I have droped about 20 pounds and 2 inches so far, and feel a lot better. But it is something you can do while at home to, which is nice.

Get better, and Merry Christmas.
