I have two thoughts on this:

1. Given this girl’s financial status (from her parents AND from her famous sister, who is sure to help her out financially) I hope she deals with the consequences of her action maturely.

2. I think this is an excellent opportunity, as others have noticed, for parents to open the lines of communication with their children – not just daughters – to talk about sex, contraception and the repercussions of their actions.

Next thing you know, Mylee Cyrus will be pregnant! Oh, I hope not! My daughter loves her (Hannah Montana).

I wish these so-called “stars” would just go away. Who cares? Apparently, we do, because we’re writing about it, but really… do we? I think not. Go away Spears sisters and all you other trampy kids with no values and morals. 16 and pregnant – it happens – so get off the TV and go take care of your baby. That’s how she can be a real role model.

Amen to that brother! Unfortunately my mom is hooked on those mags (probably an obsessive compulsive thing because she feels guilty after buying them), but I think it’s all trash.

If people followed us all over the place taking pictures and poking in our private lives they’d be called stalkers. I couldn’t give a crap which celebrities are gay, and quite frankly I’m not horrified by Angelina Jolie’s veiny arms (mine are veiny) or britney’s cellulite.

The people who push this trash news must have such monumentally low self esteem that they can only sleep at night by making others feel worse, and they somehow believe that it’s ok if the person is a celebrity because they somehow make themselves an easy target. Like a hunter shooting a fireman and saying “I can’t be blamed, he was wearing bright yellow, he WANTED to be seen!”

The whole thing makes me nauseous, so I’ll move on.

Dead on with this post. Who cares, and it is not like her family does not have the resources, financially anyway, to raise the child.

Well, the only reason they are even called “role models” is because some parents, one way or another, teach their kids that those people and those things are to be looked up to. Society in general plays along but when fame and wealth are the things kids are taught to aspire to then the celebrity mentality will continue. The day that more people start telling their kids to look up to integrity, perseverence and love (things most of the celebrities fail to display), it will be a step in the right direction.
