The Cook is Steaming

This one is a little better than what seemed stale left overs last week… but hey, I do like leftovers.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how much do enjoy watching sports on television?
I would say 5. I enjoy going to the stadium a lot more than watching it on TV.

If you could completely memorize any one work of fiction, which one would you pick?
Right now, the whole Harry Potter series… even though I think after I finish the last one I might grow up and read the whole Wheel of Time series.

What is your favorite breakfast food?
Recalentao… a mixture of rice, meat, beans all together from left overs. I know sounds weird but it is delish.

Main Course
Name something fun you can do for less than $10.00.
Buy a book or Manga, Rent a couple of movies, couple of Chai Lattes, go out for Ice cream with the honey… 10 bucks goes a long way.

How long does it usually take you to fall asleep?
3-5 Seconds.

  1. You fall asleep really fast! :) And your breakfast, I know that. I love that as well. It’s not called that way here in the Philippines though.

    Great feast! Happy Friday!

  2. You and my hubby hit the ol’ snoozer quickly! Your breakfast sounds good. I’d shove it all into a tortilla with some salsa and cheese. Yummmm.

  3. Interesting answers on your feast today. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen asleep that fast, even after being up for 2 or 3 days straight.

Come on over and see what I’ve served today.

  4. Whoof! It was fun visiting your feast.

I’ve got somethin’ delicious at my blog too… come check it out.

  5. I think your Salad sounds like a dog’s breakfast… and I’m a dog.

Come on over and see my feast too.

  6. Wonderful video that shows our good side, qusiera that, there was also freedom for the kidnapped ones and that breathes peace. Ah! it lacked in that video to mention the Festival the poetry International that we lived in MedellĂn enre 14 and 22 on this month. Good, it is a charming country but that we needed peace to be all free ones and, by all means, opportunities for many families who need work and that the pays yes are forms to be able to feed itself better, there are pays that give pain. By something people in search of better opportunities of life in other countries leave. A hug cheers and healthful for you.

  7. Great feast! Sorry, I’m running a bit behind visiting everyone this past weekend.

I am very envious of your dessert.

    Mine is up…come on over!

  8. I can’t endorse the reading of the “Wheel of Time” series. Part of it is that Jordan said he’s finish them in a set number of books and has since expanded it. I hear the books are extremely padded and that they get less and less enjoyable as you read. I’ve not read them (part of it being that I’m approximately 1 billion pages behind).

However, if you want some good fantasy, try the Naomi Novak series that starts with His Majesty’s Dragon. It’s a combination of Napoleonic war stories such as “Master and Commander” with alternative history in the use of dragons. Three are out now in paperback and the fourth is due in paperback later this year. Peter Jackson liked them so much he optioned them for movies and may direct them himself. They are wonderful and I think you’d enjoy them.

Also, you might like Ender’s Game and the Ender Wiggins series by Orson Scott Card.
