Bible Saturday 2

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
1 John 4:7

I think that the whole new testament and the story of Jesus can be summed up by a simple message… “Let us love one another.” This simple message transcends culture, religion and language. If we had a little more love inside of us and were able to share that instead of the every day frustrations we experience I personally believe the world would be a better place.

“God is love” is a statement that is very powerful. Even if you don’t believe in God, you might believe in Love. Love is one of the most powerful forces in our lives. It makes us do things that others might deem crazy. You have to admit that a feeling as powerful as love is a gift. The tricky part is that we are also born with this thing called free will, and well, we might chose to not love one another after all.

  1. Hmmmmmm, yeahh I can totally appreciate that. I also believe a certain Jamaican proposed something along those lines.

    One love! what about the one heart? one heart!
    What about – ? lets get together and feel all right
    As it was in the beginning (one love!);
    So shall it be in the end (one heart!),
    All right!
    Give thanks and praise to the lord and I will feel all right;
    Lets get together and feel all right.
    One more thing!

    I think that says Vol. just like the good Book. Though it’s not the Bible, it’s a wonderful message.

  2. The Dalai Lama says “My religion is kindness.” Love is too big a concept for some people, but they can usually get with kindness.

  3. Good way to start an argument is to talk about religion or politics.
