It sounds funny, but the casting for this animated movie is just the best. The voices are outstanding and well the new character The Puss in Boots is just the single most hilarious addition to a well balanced cast. I mean Shrek & Donkey had awesome chemistry in the first one, this addition makes for a perfect recipe for laughter.
The animation was improved quite a bit. I was amazed to see so much improvement, I would have thought that it was pretty much the same level as before with just a new story line. This is an excellent family movie that I am still not sure why I did not go to the theater to see. The DVD has some excellent extras, specially the American Idol spoof. The movie is full of laughter and to me superior to the first one.
Captain of the Guards: Yep, that’s catnip…
Puss-in-Boots: Um… that’s… not mine…
[after drinking a beauty potion]
Donkey: I don’t *feel* any different. Do I look any different?
Puss-in-Boots: You still look like an ass to me!
