Moments

Week 10 – Moments
This week’s Theatre Thursday is dedicated to those Onscreen Moments that stay with you forever.

1) What moment from what movie still makes you laugh out loud – no matter how many times you see it?
From dumb and dummer the snowball scene… I can actuall ROFL for that one.

2) What moment from what movie still makes you cry like a baby – no matter how many times you see it?
I am not sure I can watch it again but the Passion was that powerful. Also the opening scene in Saving Private Ryan. I do not cry to easy but those two really made me just cry.

3) What moment from what movie made you actually turn your head from the screen – either in fear, revulsion, or contempt for the fact that you actually paid money to see the film?
I love the movie Rounders, it has two of my favorite actors, but when they are getting beat up, it always gets me, I think the first time I saw that I did have to turn away.

BONUS) What is one single moment from a film that is indelibly etched in your brain? Not a scene or a sequence exactly, but three or four seconds from a movie that contain an image or phrase or concept that transcends normal movies?
I think a lot of movies have been very trascending in my life… if I had to pick one movie moment that is etched on my brain is probably the torture scene during Passion of the Christ. Wow that was just too much for me.

Take a Moment and answer these questions, and you’ll feel you’ve flown across the moon..

  1. Ya know, I’ve yet to see Passion of The Christ. or Rounders for that matter.

Regardless, you always have great answers. Thanks so much for playing. =)

  2. By the way, it wasn’t a picture of MY actual pillow. It was a picture of one exactly like it. I’m way too lazy to take my own pictures. So I do not know what the date was for either. =)

  3. The Passion of the Christ was powerful for me, too. Every Saturday night when I’m in Mass & the priest holds up the “bread” and wine & says “Do this in memory of me” I get teary-eyed.

  4. *teehee* Armageddon is basically a chick flick masquerading as a tolerable male film…lol…
But American History X is one of the best films to see. Edward Norton is amazing in it…he just brings the role to life to me.

  5. How could I forget the Jeff Daniels on the toliet scene from Dumb and Dumber?!?
