50 First Dates (****)

Starring Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Sean Astin, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, and Missi Pyle

Marine biologist Henry Roth (Sandler) finds the perfect woman, Lucy Whitmore (Barrymore) and falls head over heels for her. But when he sees her the following day, she hasn’t a clue as to who is he due to a rare brain disorder that wipes her memory clean every night. Now, with the help of his friend Ula (Schneider), Henry has to concoct new and increasingly clever ways to meet her and get her to fall for him every day. (Sony Pictures)

Adam Sandler had started to fall off the wagon as one of the comedy actors I liked. I loved Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer and Waterboy a lot, Thought Big Daddy was good, but started thinking he was smoking something after Little Nicky and Mr Deeds. It was to the point that I did not even care to see the new movies he made. Well yesterday I had the pleasure to see 50 First Dates, and I have to say that this movie is awesome.

The movie starts with a series of tidbits that I am not going to reveal, but they are hilarious… then it gets onto a very good story along with very well timed jokes. The charaters are all lovable and even the animals in the movie are hilarious. I think everyone should rent this movie this weekend and watch it. Is a great love story, and a good comedy.

PS – Thank you ever so much for the kind words left on Friday’s blog. Your friendship means more than I can ever express in words. I’ve been on a path of self-discovery lately, just God and I, and I must say, that I am coming out the other side a different person. It’s far from over, but I am enjoying every moment of it. I’ll blog more about it on Monday…..

Love ya, and hope that you have a wonderful Sunday evening…. **hugs**
