This is a special Music Mambo this week.

Why is it special?

Cos Crazies…The Mambo This Week is “THIS IS YOUR LIFE” (in music)

I’m going to post a few questions and you get to tell us which songs most suit that part of your life or event in your life.

1. Song By The First Band You Liked
I have always loved music, since I was little it has been all around me, but one of the first bands that I got into was Guns and Roses. Favorite song will have to be November Rain.

2. The Song That Makes You Think Of Your Best Friend
There are several, my best friend and I have similar musical taste… a couple of Polish song really remind me of him but I would have to say that every time I listen to Queen I think of him. That is one of his Fav bands.

3. A Song By The First Band You Saw In Concert
Believe it or not I have not been to that many concerts, and the ones that I have gone to were so long ago that I do not even remember a song from the. It was a Spanish pop group called the Fans.

4. A Song That Reminds You Of College/School
Anything from the 90s

5. A Song That Makes You Think Of A Boyfriend/Girlfriend (Love) Past Or Present.
The whole Marroon5 CD.

As always…you can go into as little detail as you want..but you can always tell us why you picked each song…cos you know we love reading about ya!

So c’mon you crazies…I know you’re ready to get up and dance, Mambo Style!

So remember crazies…come back when you’re finished dancing and link back to us. The more people that Mambo, the better

Onesome: Learning– Hey, what would you like to learn how to do this Summer? Learn to ride a motorcycle (like Sarah)? Learn PHP? Learn how to chill out and vegetate properly (lessons available <g>)?

I would like to learn sign language this summer, but I think I might have to wait until the fall, the class is all filled up now :(

Twosome: to– Too? Two? Okay, two things you are positively not going to learn how to do! Ever!

Hrm, this is a hard one, because I would like to learn pretty much everthing under the sun… that is probably one of my flaws that I want to do it all. But I would probably never learn how to climb a phone post with the spiky shoes or how to ice climb… not a huge heights fan.

Threesome: Ride– Speaking of motorcycles: Do you ride? Did you ever ride? …or do you just enjoy them? …or maybe, “No way!”?

Yes, I rode a motorcycle before I even ever drove a car on my own. I was about 8 when I first starting riding my Dad’s bike on my own. Ever since I have been hooked, there is nothing that I like to do more to release stress than ride… I am bikeless right now but hopefully that will not be for too long.

A little sad, here is what I am missing back in Chicago :( my club gets together every wednesday this was last night :(

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King has officially hit the stores this week (I bought the first copy at my local Borders yesterday). Trilogies have been popular in the movies for years. This week we look at questions based on some famous cinematic triumvarites:

1) The Back to the Future Trilogy sent Marty McFly 30 years into the future, 30 years into the past (twice!) and 100 years into the past. Which of these time periods would you like to visit in your 1.21 gigawatt-powered DeLorean, and why?
I would like to go to the future for my first choice. See what science and technology look like in the future. Now if I go back further and be a knight, I would love to do that also :)

2) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was, of course, based on a famous trio of novels by JRR Tolkien. What sci-fi/fantasy/genre novels or series would you like to see turned into a Peter-Jackson-directed/George-Lucas-written/Steven-Speilberg-produced trilogy?
I think that Anne Rice’s books have not been made justice as a series… not necesarilly a trilogy but I would like to see something done there.

3) Next summer, there will be two complete Star Wars trilogies in the history books. What’s your strangest or most interesting Star Wars experience?
StarWars kid, that whole video was funny, and then everything it spawned. That is the weirdest thing that I have ever seen spawned by the movie.

Bonus) While the Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones movies are currently only trilogies, plans are in the works for a fourth movie in both series. What trilogy might’ve been better served with a fourth movie? Which trilogy would’ve been better if they had left it at only one movie?
I am actually not a huge fan of Trilogies, specially if there is not story to do it. Sometimes reinventing the magic of the first film doesn’t work like it should. Jurassic Park I think it should have been only one movie, and even The Matrix I think did not get enhanced by the sequels… but enough of the rant :)

That’s it till next time! Be sure to leave your name and blog address in the Comments when you’ve answered the questions.

And remember, as the Terminator said in the first part of his famous trilogy, “I’ll be back.”

Today is also National Blueberry Cheesecake day. As a warm up, using the letters B-L-U-E-B-E-R-R-Y reveal some interesting facts about you.

Young at heart… I never grew up past 16. I am sure you can tell.

Alrightee Then! Now that we’re warmed up - let’s hump, shall we?

This week a “getting to know you hump” with an insane twist. Ready? Set! HUMP!

01. You are battery operated - what are you? What size batteries do you require and how many?
MP3 player and I hold your whole music collection, I require on tripple A battery and it last a month of continuous playback.

02. Ohmigosh! You’re on the cover of the National Inquirer (or other trash magazine)! What is the headline? Give us an except for the inside story?
The amazing flying man. The inside story is pretty simple. I can fly.

03. If you could be ANY sex symbol (living or dead) who would it be and why? What question do you think you’d most get asked?
What are you talking about, I am a sex symbol. How did I get those dimples is the question I get asked all the time. Ok, ok, I will answer the meme… not sure, I think I am cool with my face, maybe someone else’s chizeld body. No one in particular.

04. You are lighter than air, you float. C’mon, introduce youself - what are you?
Ok, now what is it that you guys are smoking over there at BDI… this one is just way out of my league. I am Superman?

05. Your blog just won an award for being the best. What is it for? You’ve also also been given an “award” for being the worst. What is it for.
The best movie review ever. The worst meme abuser.

Extra credit hump: In honor of National Blueberry Cheesecake Day, what’s the most creative use for a blueberry you can conjure up?
First lets make you think dirty… LOL no just kidding. I think blueberry pankcakes are not the most creative thing but they are an awesome thing to make for someone else for breakfast :)

Happy Humping!

Share the hump with a friend. Just copy and paste the URL below into an email and challenge them to come “out hump you” *wink*

Starring Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, David Dorfman, Brian Cox, Jane Alexander, Lindsay Frost, Amber Tamblyn, and Rachael Bella In this remake of one of Japan’s biggest box office hits Ringu, Naomi Watts plays a journalist who discovers a mysterious videotape that is connected to several deaths.

I would have to say that the movie is creepy and not for the gullible, what really ruined for me was that I watched Scary Movie 3 before I watched the ring and the plots sort of mix. But I will talk about that on my review of Scary Movie 3.

The plot is solid and the scary parts were done at expected moments, but still strong. I think the film special effects were right on key and not overdone in any way. I think the movie is better watched at home in a rainy day than in a theater. Put this movie on your rental list for sure.
I did not get the chance to watch Ringu yet, but I think I will rent the movie one of this days… even though the movies share the same plot, I think the original might have some more to offer.

Starring Anna Faris, Charlie Sheen, Regina Hall, Denise Richards, Jeremy Piven, Queen Latifah, Eddie Griffin, Anthony Anderson, and Simon Rex. The Scary Movie gang is back for the third installment in this spoof series. It is not a complete waste of time, but it brings me to a little rant. I think spoof movies should provide a list of movies that it will ruin. The movie has spoofs of not only scary movies but also other movies of the moment. It does totally ruin the Ring and Signs in my opinion.

The movie has some excellent moments and it is done very well like the previous two. Even though the Scream series references are pretty much gone from this one, it still has not lost its edge. There is no gore at all which I think is positive. I say go rented only after you have watched The Ring and Signs, both excellent movies.
